Xea Michele Thomas has been under her parent’s thumb all her life. An exuberant, down to earth, entrepreneur, Xea fell in love with Mitchell Hughes while volunteering at the YMCA. Just celebrating their one year anniversary, Xea has had enough of her parent’s constant ploys to keep them apart. To top it all off, her father makes his moves from his four by four prison cell. And when Xea has the upper hand after finding out a secret that could hurt her father, will she take the high road and consider how much this could hurt him, or will she use it to her advantage without considering the other person involved?

This was a good read... I love how strong and independent that Xea was... She was strong willed and about her business... It really sucked all that she had to go through not only with her parents but also with her boyfriend Mitch. .. All the secrets that kept coming out one after another...It was more that any one person should have to deal with... It was a lot for Xea to deal with but in the end it all worked out for her... Her strength really showed... Her mom should be ashamed of herself and the fact that her daughter is more mature than her.. I can't wait to see what happens now that Xea is finally moving forward. ..Product details

This was definitely a lot to swallow. Zea was a very head strong young lady who was determined to fight for what she believed in. The story was well written. There was a lot lies and betrayal but it kept my interest. I definitely be interested in seeing what comes next. I would be interested in seeing just what Zea's dad and Mitche's mom have up their sleeves.

It was ok....I didn't really care for this book seemed more like a kid being rebellious and trying to prove she can do what she want. Now I will say the fact that she had her own business and the storyline with the brother and daughter was the better part of this book. Didn't care for the dad and the mom I guess I didn't quite get her role other than running her daughters life then throwing a tantrum and Mitch was a little underdeveloped. All in all it was an OK read not one of my favorites
Zea and Mitch had so much going against them. Every time they got passed one hurdle another one came crashing into them. It seems as if every character had their own secrets so how could they not forgive and forget.
This book was an okay read not my typical story a lot of psarents interfering in there children's adult lives.. Need part 2 to see how it ends with Mitch and Xea...
This book had a lot of twists and turns that will keep you guessing. Both Malcolm and Lisa had some mess with them. Xea definitely didn't need any enemies the way her parents kept things stirred up. Xea and Mitch were cute together. I'm wondering if Xea's truly in love with Mitch or just determined to stay with him because it's not what her parents want. I'll be reading part 2 to see how it all goes down now that Malcolm's home.
This book was okay.I really couldn't get into it like the other book from this author.Xea was just being rebellious because her parents were controlling her life and not letting her grow up.She just wanted to prove she can do whatever she wanted when she wanted.I couldn't stand Xea mom and dad they had no purpose in the book really besides telling their dating she couldn't date Mitch.Then Mitch he was okay could have been better.Xea having her own business was good I did like that part about the book.
I really enjoyed this book I love how Mitch and Xea will fight for their relationship. Sometimes I felt Xea gave Mitchell a hard time. But I loved how it turned out and I know there's got to be a part 2.
